My Holiday Diary - Sail Week Croatia

Sail Week Croatia was probably one of the best holidays I have ever had. That is powerful words but it was an experience like no other.

In this blog post I am only going to highlight some of my favourite towns we docked in. However I can guarantee everywhere you visit is stunning and the people are so friendly.

Vis was one of the first places we visited and this is the ultimate island for exploring. My friends and I hired cars and toured the island. We came across great cave jumping spots and immaculate beaches. At night the town comes alive where we danced the night away under the stars.

Next up is Hvar. After just docking you understand why Hvar is renowned for one of the best party spots in Europe. Every yacht is buzzing, it got you straight in the mood to party. I would recommend Hula Hula Bar. Drinking good cocktails with friends watching the sun go down was magical.

After a crazy night in Hvar, Bol is the place to be. This spot has everything you want: lively bars, water sports and the most amazing beach. It is the perfect place to unwind.

Every town you arrive in you are refreshed and sunbaked. You would think being hungover on a yacht would be awful however it wasn't that bad. The sea breeze from sailing all afternoon definitely helped get over that hang. I can also say I got darker and darker every day (my Italian skin did help though).

Makarska another town I particularly liked where the famous cave club was the prefect spot to dance the night away in an unforgettable setting.

You may have wondered how did I get ready for each of these nights out. Well the answer would be marinas. Every marina your docked in you had showers, toilets, changing areas with hairdryers and plugs. This helped greatly with the experience, I think if you didn't have these you would feel unclean and the experience wouldn't be as enjoyable.

Finally arriving in Trogir for your last day you can get lost in the pebbled 13th centaury walls knowing you have left your yacht feeling tanned and happy, with new friends and unforgettable memories.

Sail Week Croatia is a great holiday for young couples or friends. Visiting Croatia is beautiful on its own but being able to see it from the sea was something totally different. I would definitely recommend this holiday.
