The Eternal City

As described by Giotto di Bondone; “Rome is the city of echoes, the city of illusions, and the city of yearning” - all of which are true. Rome is a city, a very big city, however there is no other place like Rome. You may be tired of walking by the end of the day, however it is filled with charming side streets, infinite amount of Gelateria's and architecture you will never be able to erase from your memory. Without a doubt I fall in love with Rome a little more every time I visit ...after all, I am half Italian!

Eat/ Drink

Pizza: Gaudi - This restaurant is nothing fancy but one thing I can guarantee you is the pizzas are amazing. In pure Neapolitan style, each table has a red light above it to call the waiters when you request some delicious pizza.

Pasta - Mamma Mia - This restaurant is modern and classy in the heart of Rome. The pasta selection is great paired with a very good wine list. Without doubt I would recommend the truffle risotto. I think it is the best risotto I have ever had (bold but true)

Romantic - Gran caffe Martini e Rossi - If you are wanting a meal that you will never forget then how about dinner overlooking the Colosseum. Sounds amazing doesn't it, well it was. This restaurant is casual, however it is all about the views. They have a great selection for dinner if you are fancying fish, pasta, pizza or steak.

I had the lobster linguine and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this dish. After our meal me and my boyfriend went for a walk around the Colosseum and it was so romantic and a perfect end to the beginning of our Venice trip.
